Allow Me to Introduce Myself

After over a year of pump fakes, the much anticipated Drake album, Views, released yesterday. I’m giving it a first listen as I write this, and figured I should take some time to introduce myself and how I plan to bring you my own views.

My name is Lonnie Foote III. To learn more about me, visit my biography here. So why does Lonnie’s FooteNotes exist? In three words: I love writing. The process can be grueling and sometimes I’d rather go to the dentist than revise my thesis statement for the 300th time. Yet, similar to how  Beethoven arranged words in the English language to form a marvelous symphony, a writer possesses the same capability. That’s why I created this blog. You can think of me as a word composer. Lonnie’s FooteNotes is a way of perfecting my own English symphony while simultaneously expressing myself.

Now that I think about it, this sounds like a glorified diary. The only diaries I saw as a kid were written by girls on Disney Channel. Now my view of diaries has completely changed. In fact, Lonnie’s FooteNotes will be similar to one. On a scale, I’d say it falls somewhere in between Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Diary of Young Girl (Anne Frank). I guarantee the topics will be diverse. Just as a heads up though, sports is my largest cup of tea; it’d be a Venti if we were talking Starbucks. So whoever you are, if you want me to talk sports, fashion, education, or even Views, let me know in the comments below or contact me via social media.
